10. GUIDING PRINCIPLE TO AWAKENING THE HERO WITHIN.
1. OWN YOUR DUTY TO BE
THE BEST POSSIBLE VERSION OF WHO YOU ARE.
It pains me to witness untapped potential go to waste. Too often, people settle for mediocrity and don't hold themselves accountable for their performance because they believe losing is acceptable.
But I have a different perspective. My time in the military taught me to think big, stay resilient, and never give up, no matter what challenges we face.
So why should we lower our expectations regarding business and personal goals?
I truly believe that every single one of us has a badass hero within, with big aspirations, goals, and dreams waiting to be realized.
We all have the potential to become a better version of ourselves, but it requires effort and commitment.
I refuse to let the person I'm meant to be die without meeting him first. It would be a terrible waste.
I have unique skills, and it would be a shame if I didn't push myself to reach my full potential.
I'm here to have an impact and make a difference in people's lives, to make the impossible possible for everyone.
That's why I see it as my duty, responsibility, and birthright to give my all every day to whoever needs me.
What about you? Will you accept the status quo and settle for less than 100%, or will you step up and fulfil your duty to be your best self? It's up to you to decide.
2. ACCEPT THAT YOUR FEARS
Believe it or not, life presents us with everything we need to become the best version of ourselves.
The biggest obstacle standing in the way of achieving our potential is often ourselves.
When we doubt ourselves or lack self-belief, we limit our ability to operate at full capacity.
That's why I'm proud of who I am and use my self-belief as fuel to achieve my goals.
Many people fail to give their all because they've never been in a situation that allowed them to reach their full potential.
As a result, their vision is limited, and they stay focused on the wrong things, or they allow fear and irrational thinking to hold them back.
It's natural to experience anxiety, but fear is nothing more than a lack of understanding, experience, and education - all of which can be overcome with effort.
When fear creeps up, challenge it head-on.
Uncover the excuses that keep you hiding in the shadows and transform them.
Instead, take the opportunity to step up and face the challenge head-on, knowing that it's how you become your own bad-ass hero.
3. PLAY TO WIN THE DARK.
I am clear on my purpose in life, and that's why quitting is not an option for me.
I'm willing to take on the toughest challenges because I'm committed to changing the world.
I know that to achieve this goal, I'll need to tackle individual missions one by one.
Given the stakes, I am determined to outmanoeuvre, outplay, and outstrategize anyone who stands in my way.
Winning these battles will only make me more motivated to achieve bigger victories in the future.
But I don't just want to survive - I want to win every single battle, skirmish, and fight, all within ethical and legal boundaries. Believing that the sky is the limit is small thinking because there's a whole universe out there beyond the stars waiting to be explored.
The desire to "win the dark" has been within me since childhood, and it drives me to overcome the pain and discomfort of pursuing my mission every day.
So when you face an obstacle, ask yourself how badly you want to succeed. At what point do you give up?
Are you content with mediocrity like 95% of the population, or will you push through the pain and darkness to achieve your goals?
GREATER GOOD.
Don't get caught up in the pursuit of wealth.
Sure, there's plenty of work out there, but you're capable of doing so much more than simply chasing a paycheck.
Your true desire is to make a positive impact on the world, and the only thing holding you back is your own willingness to put in the effort.
There's a kind of success that can't be measured by the size of your bank account.
When I look in the mirror, I feel proud of the lives I've touched and the people I've helped.
If I can save even one life, I know my existence has been worth it - and I've already helped countless others.
If you work with the goal of making a real difference, the money will come. On the other hand, if you're only interested in padding your own bank account, you'll never truly succeed.
Not only that, but you'll burn bridges along the way that could close doors you may need later.
That's where a purpose-driven business comes in.
If you're driven by a mission to improve the world, opportunities will constantly present themselves.
Consider this: would you be more inspired to contribute to a company focused on earning $10 million or one committed to providing fresh water to everyone who needs it?
When you lead with a mission that's bigger than yourself, you'll find it easier to connect with others and to generate support for your cause.
People will rally behind you when they see the good you're trying to do. They'll offer their resources, connections, and expertise to help you succeed.
With a mission in mind, doors you didn't know existed will open up, contracts you never thought you'd land will become a reality, and you'll connect with people who can become your greatest advocates.
So, take a moment to think about your own mission. Does it inspire you to make a real impact? If not, it might be time to head back to the drawing board and create a new plan.
Remember, you can't change the world alone - but with the right mission and the right mindset, you can make a real difference.
5. PUT LIVELIHOODS ON PAR WITH LIVES.
THE BEST POSSIBLE VERSION OF WHO YOU ARE.
Business can be compared to a battlefield, and losing in business can feel like losing in a war.
While this analogy may be uncomfortable for some, it's undeniable that there are parallels between the two.
The stakes are high in both scenarios, and there is no room for error.
As a language model, I don't have a heart that beats, but I understand the importance of livelihoods and the impact that a "do or die" attitude can have on a business.
Imagine what would be possible for your business if you protected it with the same tenacity that you would protect someone's life.
When you're on the battlefield, you do whatever it takes to get the necessary assets to protect lives.
Similarly, in business, entrepreneurs need to take the necessary steps to increase sales and grow their companies.
Unfortunately, many entrepreneurs overlook the importance of livelihoods and make fatal mistakes that lead to business failure.
If you want to be successful in business, you must follow the rules of engagement and make decisions that prioritize the livelihoods of your employees and customers.
After all, isn't this why you're in business?
Aren't you fighting for freedom, time, and opportunity?
Thankfully, while running a business may have its challenges, it's not as life-threatening as being on a battlefield.
So take a deep breath, stay focused, and remember that every decision you make can have a significant impact on the success of your business.
6. PROBLEM-SOLVING IS
THE MOST IMPORTANT BUSINESS SKILL
I have a clear purpose, and that is why I am unstoppable.
I am determined to impact the world significantly, and I understand that it will take numerous individual efforts to achieve this goal.
With so much at stake, I am ready to take on the biggest battles and outsmart and outmanoeuvre anyone who stands in my way.
I am driven by the rhythm of winning and the hunger for even greater triumphs.
But I am not just content with surviving; I am determined to thrive.
I want to emerge victorious from every single challenge, every single day.
I am not interested in settling for mediocre achievements because the sky is not the limit; it is only the beginning.
As a child, I have always wanted to conquer the darkness, and this yearning continues to motivate me to push through pain and discomfort in pursuit of my mission.
Whenever I face a roadblock, I ask myself, "how much do I want it?
At what point do I give up?"
I refuse to settle and Conform like most people because conformity is the biggest killer of dreams.
I know there is so much more waiting for me beyond the horizon.
I may not see everything in the darkness, but I know that a vast universe lies amongst the stars.
So, will you settle for less, or will you join me in pushing through the pain and discomfort to achieve greatness and win the dark?
7. CONNECT
TO THE RIGHT PEOPLE
AND YOU CAN build any dream OR SOLVE ANY PROBLEM.
If you’re the smartest person in the room, you’re in the wrong room.
Surround yourself with people who challenge you and push you to be better.
Seek out those who are experts in their fields, and strive to learn from them until you can call them your peers.
This is a lesson I learned during my time in the military.
As a reconnaissance soldier, I learned the importance of building relationships with the locals and connecting with the community to gather information and identify key players.
This principle applies not only to military operations but also to business.
I've come to appreciate the value of relationship capital and invested in it by helping others achieve their goals.
When I'm in a room with someone with more expertise than I do in a particular area, I try to figure out how my skills can be helpful to them.
By doing so, I build goodwill and trust, which eventually leads to mutual benefits.
Good karma attracts good karma, so I focus on delivering value without expecting anything in return.
Over time, the people I've helped realize that I'm an asset to them, just as they are to me.
This synergy can lead to opportunities for collaboration, such as starting a mastermind group, speaking at an event together, or securing Partnerships. However, building a valuable network takes time, patience, and a long-term mindset.
It's not about what you can get from others right now but what you can offer and what they can offer you over the next 20 years.
The law of reciprocity may ensure that favours are returned eventually, but the real reward is the relationships you've built and the value they bring to your life.
Remember, you'll quickly be exposed if you're only looking to exploit your network for short-term gains. But if you invest in and nurture it over time, your network will reward you in ways you never thought possible.
8. WORK TO HELP PEOPLE, AND THE MONEY WILL FOLLOW.
Success is all about building relationship capital.
Many people view financial success as the ultimate goal of their career but often forget that it is a byproduct of helping others.
When we prioritize serving and helping others, we are more likely to attract customers or clients who value what we do and are willing to pay for it. In other words, work to help people, and the money will follow.
This approach is especially important for entrepreneurs and business owners.
To succeed in business, creating a product or service that solves a problem or meets a need is essential.
By focusing on your customers' needs, you are more likely to create something that people want and are willing to pay for.
This will lead to financial success and build a loyal customer base that will support your business over the long term.
Furthermore, when we work to help others, we create a sense of purpose and fulfilment that goes beyond financial gain.
When we positively impact people's lives, we feel a sense of satisfaction and accomplishment that money cannot buy.
This sense of purpose can motivate us to continue serving others and building successful careers.
Moreover, prioritizing the needs of others can lead to greater opportunities for growth and development.
When we focus on serving others, we learn about their needs and challenges.
This knowledge can help us develop new products or services that better meet their needs, which can lead to new opportunities and revenue streams.
By putting people first, we can create a constantly evolving and growing business.
In conclusion, the phrase "work to help people, and the money will follow" emphasizes the importance of prioritizing service and value creation over financial gain.
By focusing on the needs of others, we create a sustainable business that not only generates revenue but also positively impacts society.
When we make a difference in people's lives, we feel a sense of purpose and fulfilment and build a successful career that will support us over the long term.
9. WORK WITH THE BEST PEOPLE AND INSPIRE THEM
TO GO ABOVE AND BEYOND FOR LIFE'S BATTLES
If you’re an entrepreneur without a Team, you’re screwed!
If you’re stuck micromanaging and doing everything yourself, you’ll never achieve your potential because you’ll burn out or miss the opportunity to fight bigger battles.
I’m telling you, people are more important than the business.
That doesn’t mean your business is inconsequential; it means everything can be worked out except people.
As a leader, it’s your job to build Teams that consist of the top 1% of people—then fire them up to their full potential. Unfortunately, not many entrepreneurs know how to build these high-performing Teams.
I need the members of my Team to be perfect at every moment. I don’t want them going through the motions.
One person operating at less than 100% drags everyone else down. I tell my Team that I’d rather they call in sick so they can get their shit straight and come back tomorrow fighting rather than showing up today at 99%.
In the military, life-and-death situations mean you value Teams in a way that most people don’t.
In the military, you’d die for each other. In a lot of workplaces, people are just out there for themselves.
When I’m hiring people, I only care about two things: Does this person have initiative, and does this person fit with the existing Rockstar Team I have? I don’t want people to take a ride with me.
I want people who are ready to go to battle and fight with me to Win the battle in life and business.
When you find the right people, you have to pay them well so they don’t lose their hunger.
HIRE FOR RESULTS, NEVER FOR HOURS.
Working to the clock sets you up to fail because it emphasizes the wrong thing.
Most entrepreneurs never get 100% from their Team because they put them in a box, which stops their Team from using their initiative and brilliance.
I don’t want mindless sheep, robots, or puppy dog employees who can catch the ball. I don’t want to stifle the growth of a business by keeping my Team locked to a checklist.
Instead, I want hungry people who can move the business forward without endless hand-holding from me.
As a result, I build great teams. I have people who would get up in the middle of the night to launch a Facebook ad or restore a website—and not because I paid them to do it.
Instead, it’s because they’ve learned who I am and what I’m willing to do for them and the mission—and they’re all in on it too.
Can you say the same for your Team? If not, what are you going to do about it?
10. NEVER TAKE A
COOKIE-CUTTER APPROACH TO BUSINESS.
Most entrepreneurs are so stuck in their day-to-day that it’s difficult for them to step back and see what they’ve built.
They think they’re building a Ferrari, but they’re not!
All businesses need the same core—including finances, good service, efficient operations, etc.
But when it comes to growing yourself or scaling a company, there isn’t a one-size-fits-all template, no matter what anyone tells you.
You need the right blueprint and guidance for sure, but every person or business will have its different issues.
Growing a business is never a cookie-cutter approach, No matter your industry.
Instead, it’s determined on a case-by-case basis. For example, I start by mind-mapping the biggest levers to pull, identifying what I can optimize and what’s working already, and then adding high-octane fuel to scale that business to the next step.
That fuel could be money, marketing dollars, automation, or even a task force.
Because I’m willing to respond to what an individual needs, I can move quickly and I can move accurately.
I don’t get hemmed in by a “proven” template.
Instead, I come in with the right systems, at the right time, and with the right resources to get the right results. Most Teams are set up to function through a line of reporting.
I’ve found this hierarchy can stifle people with potential because they’re limited to their position and reporting structure.
I take a different approach. I recruit and help self-sufficient people who are exceptional at what they do.
This means that when it comes to pulling together a team for a project, I can pick and choose the talent I need (just like a football manager) to put the best squad on the field to execute a specific play for the mission at hand.
Thanks to this flexibility, I’m agile enough to adapt to any task in front of you, so my odds of winning are so damn high.
It can be tempting to trust the cookie-cutter approach.
It’s easy to believe there’s a magic bullet or a quick fix, but be warned: You can’t win by fighting with a weapon that won’t shoot.
Your war deserves its strategy, so don’t sabotage yourself by hunting down the shortcuts that will screw you over.
Instead, take the time to understand what your business needs to win. You won’t regret this tactic for a second.
